Woodside Place on the Washington campus

Woodside Place – Unrivaled Dementia Care Community in Washington, PA

Woodside Place of Washington was uniquely created for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias. Our Woodside model is based on three fundamental areas of specialization: People, Place and Programming. Woodside Place is Washington County’s first freestanding dementia-specific assisted living community with an innovative approach, fully engaging choice and each individual’s concept of “home,” and allowing each person living here to thrive. Woodside Place, a Presbyterian SeniorCare Network community, was created with more than 25 years of innovation and experience.

As a Dementia Care Center of Excellence, we have developed an approach that is person-centered – a mindset and a lifestyle that empowers each person to maintain their individuality and dignity, creating routines based on their preferences and schedules not ours. All of this in a safe and comfortable environment.

Every team member in our organization—from nursing and therapy to housekeeping and maintenance—receives dementia-specific training and is certified through CARES®. Woodside Place direct care team members receive additional specialized training, and benefit from the expertise of certified dementia care practitioners throughout Presbyterian SeniorCare Network.

With the amenities, technology and 24-hour programing that Woodside Place of Washington provides, it meets the physical, mental and social needs of a person living with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias. In our care, your loved one will benefit from this revolutionary approach to dementia care which engages people where they are in the progression of the disease and lets them celebrate every moment.
